Liz Schmidt is a maritime professional and organizational strategist with a 20+ year career shaped by both hands‑on experience on the water and a deep commitment to strengthening mission‑driven teams. Beginning her journey on the lakes of Minnesota and later refining her skills aboard yachts and passenger vessels in Fort Lauderdale, she brings a rare blend of operational insight and people‑centered leadership to her work. Today, Liz is known for her ability to bring clarity, structure, and strategic direction to complex environments, helping organizations and leaders grow with purpose, confidence, and integrity.

Aboveboard Consulting was founded in 2021, inspired by Liz’s desire to continue making a meaningful impact after years of work with national and local nonprofits.
